Discover the rich history of wool - from its origins to its modern day uses. See live demonstrations of traditional wool and fibre trades and crafts, including blade shearing, fleece preparation, yarn spinning, knitting and dyeing. Enjoy historical displays, meet the sheep and take part in interactive storytelling, hands on activities and felting, knitting and hat making workshops.
Be sure to visit the Tea Rooms over the weekend for some warm and hearty food - sip on a comforting hot drink, enjoy a steaming mug of house made soup or dig into a classic meat pie.
Flagstaff Hill is open 9.30am to 4.30pm with a special program of events scheduled from 11am to 3pm. Tickets to Wool Weekend are a General Entry Day Experience and are valid for 7 days. Where required, workshop tickets sold separately.
