The tearooms serve traditional Devonshire Tea , sweets and drinks as well as catering for pre-booked luncheons and morning/afternoon teas for group bookings

‘Stella Maris’, meaning ‘Star of the Sea’, was the first name for the tea rooms, and is the Latin name for the North Star which is an important aid to navigators in the North Hemisphere, and also the
name of the Catholic Mission to Seamen. Later the name became “Peacock Parlour’, however when the tea rooms ceased to operate as a commercial venture, they became known as “The Tea Rooms”.
