Volunteering at the Flagstaff Hill Tourism Precinct is a great way to meet new people and contributue to the promotion of tourism and cultural heritage of our region`
We welcome those with a willingness to try new things and share their expertise and knowledge to help create memorable visitor experiences.
Our volunteers perform an array of vital roles within Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village and Warrnambool Visitor Information Centre.
Current roles we looking volunteers are;
- I am Warrnambool ambassadors
- Animals cares
- Tour Guides
- Boat builders
- Gardeners
- Maintenance workers
- Historic Researchers
- School Holiday Program assistants
- Dressmakers
- Hospitality workers (food & beverage)
- Village shop keepers and business activators
Volunteers can undertake multiple roles and will be offered training in their preferred area.

Who can become a volunteer?
To become a prospective volunteer with Warrnambool City Council applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be 12 years of age or over
- Have a valid Working with Children Check or be prepared to obtain one (only needed once accepted as a volunteer and over the age 18 years)
- Complete a relevant training program for your volunteer role if required
Prospective volunteers will also complete a police check, attend an interview and supply details of two referees.
