CRAFT

Woven Butterflies.
Create a beautiful pair of butterfly wings with this unique and simple wool weaving technique. Complete your butterfly with a beaded body and curly antennae, then attach it to a string and hang it up to watch it flutter around.

Glittering Peacocks
The Minton Peacock in our museum has an incredible story of survival, having been salvaged from the Loch Ard shipwreck. Use feathers and shiny materials to create your own peacock, complete with a magnificent, shimmering tail adorned with its signature eye-like patterns.

Insect Art
Spring is here, and insects are making their way back into our gardens. Make your own 3-dimensional insect box critter or beetle, decorated with your own colourful designs. Use your creations to brighten up your home while the real critters stay outside in the garden!

Magical Mandalas
Create a beautiful mandala design using transparent adhesive contact, along with colourful embellishments and pieces collected from the garden. Hang it in a sunny window to enjoy the shadows and sparkles it makes.

Pet Rocks
Wish you could take your pets everywhere? Get creative and make your very own pet rock—a perfect travel companion and friend that comes with a rock-solid guarantee to never leave your side! Keep it with you always.

3-Dimensional Cards
Make your friends' and family's next celebration extra special with a handmade 3-dimensional greeting card featuring pop-up elements inside. Add your personal message to create a card that will continue to delight with every open.

Woodworking
Choose from a wide selection of pre-made, fun and easy woodwork kits for kids to build. With the friendly Warrnambool Men’s Shed helpers on hand, D.I.Y has never been this much fun. Each kit is $5, payable direct to the woodworkers.
