PROGRAM DETAILS
Embossed Hanging Fish – Using silver embossing foil, press and colour beautiful shiny fish. Hang it in a window or outside and watch it shimmer as it catches the sunlight. Adult assistance required for small children – sharp edges.
Glittering Seahorse —The seahorse is one of the many beautiful sea creatures found in our ocean. Use a combination of glittery shiny materials to make your very own sparkling, shimmering seahorse to brighten up any room.
Paper Doll Puppets – Think of a character from the “olden days” then decorate your paper chain doll to represent that character. What is your character’s name, when and where were they born, how old are they? Make them into a puppet and bring them to life!
Coaster Designs – Decorate a coaster with materials of your choice to create a funky, unique design. Cover it in modge podge to make it waterproof. It’ll be great as a present or for you to use yourself.
Decorated Lavender Organza Bags - Learn about how lavender was used to treat illnesses and other ailments. The session will conclude with you decorating a colourful organza bag then filling it with lavender to make a fragrant bag that you can pop under your pillow to help you get a great night’s sleep!
Wire Craft Decorations – Combining wood, material, wool and wire create a fabulous wall hanging. Be inspired by your Flagstaff Hill experience and take it home as a lasting memory of your visit.
Garrison Dress Ups – Dress up in military costume and create traditional drill poses for photos in the Warrnambool Garrison with a Flagstaff Hill Garrison Soldier (BYO camera/phone)
Marvellous Medicines - Be prepared for fun, surprises and lots of laughs with Dr Harrison; Flagstaff Hill’s very own Apothecary who will present an entertaining insight into the curious ailments that affect our bodies. (Suitable for children and adults)
Sick at Sea - Be prepared to be shocked, surprised and have lots of fun as Dr Harrison tells you what made passengers so unwell or worse during their journey to Australia by ship
You will be left wondering how any of the passengers managed to make it through their journey alive! (Suitable for children and adults)
Meet the Boat Builder
