The Flagstaff Hill lighthouses are among many worldwide being celebrated over a weekend dedicated to highlighting the importance of promoting, preserving and protecting lighthouse heritage.
To mark this occasion, Flagstaff Hill, in collaboration with the Warrnambool Men's Shed Radio Group, will host an amateur radio event from the upper lighthouse complex. The annual event will bring together over 400 lighthouse-based amateur radio groups from across the world all aiming to establish communication with as many other operators as possible over the course of the weekend.
Live performances, historical presentations and kids craft activities will also be happening across the weekend.
