School Holidays

While you can’t come into the Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village at the moment, don't despair because this winter we've put together a treasure chest of fun, wet weather activities that the whole family can enjoy.

It's just like visiting us on the hill - minus the enchanting village buildings, volunteers in costume and friendly animlas to greet, shipwreck relics to discover and the vast ocean view to take in.

Watch and follow along as Dee the Jolly Lighthouse Keeper of Flagstaff Hill and her assistant Meg show you some creative craft projects and yummy cooking. It's old fashioned fun!

Penguin Softie Keyring: Use your creativity and sewing skills to make a penguin, just like the ones on Middle Island! You can attach these to your school bag, use for decoration or as a gift.

Sock Puppets: It’s time to gather all those odd socks and put on a show. Using simple materials, turn your socks into characters of your own imagination.

Flagstaff Hill Closed to help stop the spread of Covid 19

To help stop the spread of COVID-19, Flagstaff Hill will be closed to the public from 5pm, March 20.

We are among the busiest Council sites in terms of people, many of whom are visitors to our city – both international and domestic.

We also have large numbers of volunteers, many of them older members of our community and potentially more vulnerable to the impact of COVID-19.

Our School Holiday Program has also been cancelled but we are offering an online School Holiday Program for families to download here and do at home.

You can still reach our staff by calling 03 5559 4600 or emailing flagstaffhill [at] warrnambool [dot] vic [dot] gov [dot] au
