All activities depart from reception 11:00am and 2:00pm daily. CR=Chart Room, CS=Common School, TR=Tearooms, *=Bookings Essential
Parents are required to accompany their children to all activities. Unless we state an age limit, our programs are created to be suitable for children across all ages from toddlers to teens. Activities are as simple or complex as your child’s imagination and skills.

 

Session Details:

Cooking Up A Storm — Using a traditional recipe, measure & mix to create yourself a take home bag of yummy treats. Be careful you might find it so yummy it won’t even get home!! (Limit 30. Book at reception. Sessions suitable for primary age – 15y/o chil-dren. All children wanting to participate must book a spot)

dred years ago nearly every girl and many boys learnt how to sew. In this activity we will teach you how to sew so you can make a gorgeous whale softie.

Whale Inspired Decoupage Trays—Decorate a tray using the ancient art of decoupage. We’ll supply a wonderful array of col-ourful pictures of whales and ocean scenes for you to use. The result should be both beautiful and totally unique.

Pirate & Mermaid Day Activities — Please see description above for details, Movie: Peter Pan (G)

Glittering Mermaids & Pirates— Come and make your very own sparkling, shimmering mermaid or pirate that you can hang in a sunlit area in your house. It’ll help brighten up any space.

Reading, ‘Riting & ‘Rithmatic — Be on your best behaviour as the School Ma’am shows you how to behave in the 1870’s Common School. Dress in period costume, role play & use slate boards. Don’t misbehave or the School Ma’am might have to get her cane out & you don’t want that!

Maremma Glass Ornaments — Have you met the gorgeous Ma-remma dogs that guard the Little Penguin colony on Middle Island? They’re brave and strong and will chase away foxes and stop them hurting their penguin friends. In this activity you will make a lovely glass ornament showing a Maremma or

Penguin. Paint it up and make your own gorgeous creation.

Maremma Placemats — Be inspired by the Middle Island penguin project and design your own special placemat. This activity can be as simple or complicated as you want to make it but whatever method you use to make your placemat it is sure to be amazing!
